Deadlock.
Isn’t that a threatening word? It just sounds fucked – deadlock.
And yet, that is the primary danger of INFJ in this choices department, which all departments are.
The nightmare of choice and the avoidance of taking a step in any direction because there lies more choice.
It’s agony. Quiet agony. Unknown agony. Even to them.
No sooner do you make a step in one direction, you cancel out that step. No sooner do you write a word to indicate one thing, you think, “No, that’s not the right word” and you cancel it out.
Which means you can’t get anywhere. Or that progress is fraught with agonizing deadlocks.
Decisions.
How to make an end to all this deadlocking?
Well, first of all, decisions don’t have to be a big deal. Most aren’t.
I would break up decisions into two categories:
Preponderance
So many little yet ultimately inescapable choices
Heavy Fucking Choices (self-explanatory or do I need to bring the Sophie’s Choice clip from last article in here?)
So, how do you make up your mind?…
